Something rather important was apparently left out of this documentary: Kingston's defences! The entry to the Rideau Canal from Lake Ontario was guarded by Fort Henry, (now called "Old Fort Henry" and several Martello towers. These towers had a cannon atop a stone fortress, and their lines of fire could overlap each other; thus, if one tower fell, the towers on each side of it could still target any invaders. Fort Henry could defend the Navy Yard, where ships were built and repaired, as well as a garrison for soldiers and guns to fire at ships on Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. Blockhouses? That was a local defence along the canal, but Kingston was the main defence, (including plans against an invasion force as late as 1910). Guess whose force!
I find it interesting how focused on canals Canada was. The Erie Canal and this canal do not get built without that Canadian focus. Feels like a great trip today to drive, or boat this passage.
Castro should be funding this entirely instead of funding non-NATO wars. Focus on Canada, Castro.
I think South Park should host this series
Well, you would have to be Canadien, to think water could stop America, if we wanted your frozen shithole
This type of production can only be watched on a big screen tv. Phone doesn’t do this program justice
I wonder if the Welland Canal also had a partly military purpose? It would make a dandy defensive line against an invasion across the Niagara River.
The first safety rule should have been no alcohol. But then they would have probably rioted
Good stuff. Love your style and animations.
just when I dont thin I can like this guy any more, find out he a drunk too! amazing!!
I do find it hilarious that Canada is like the one country that has resisted an American invasion
✔️
You are becoming the Mark Felton on Canadian History. Keep up the great work.
John Brown was a terrorist
Its always fun how these guys leave out all the innocent people they murdered, women and children included. Really shows their colors
Revised history
Trumps = Sleezeballs. Looking for one good one is seemingly futile. Barron is the last hope for a decent Trump.
Thanks!
This just makes Trump even more awesome Trump 2024 get ready u cry baby mfers
This is wonderful! Thanks!
Has Canadiana received money from the federal government?
This was fantastic.......
The fat orange apple hasn't fallen far from his tree.
Anyone want canadian money? I cant even buy a LaBatts with it. Tips from singing "Au" Canada outside Blue Jacket games.
Thanks for saving us from Napoleon.
My Brazilian immigrant ears heard the guy saying “at the mouth of DORITO CANAL”. It took a few seconds for the “RIDEAU CANAL” to build up to my ears 😂
Canada would get wiped out in one night
That explains a lot...
A couple of discrepancies in this video. 1) 13 is NOT a Masonic number. It's not mentioned once within the entirety of Craft ritual from Entered Apprentice to Master Mason. 2) The Fibonacci sequence is rarely mentioned in Masonic lodges, and even then, only Masons like me who take interest in numerology. 3) The 8-pointed star is not the Blazing Star of Freemasonry. The Blazing Star is traditionally pictured as a 5-pointed star. 4) The Sphinx is NOT a Masonic symbol. It's not mentioned anywhere in Craft ritual as an official symbol.
Shame on you - Not a single mention of Canada's other historic anthem "The Maple Leaf Forever". Change the original lyrics and it would have been an excellent candidate too. The third verse still isn't bad. Change 'Our fair dominion" and you're good to go... "Our fair Dominion now extends From Cape Race to Nootka Sound May peace forever be our lot And plenty a store abound And may those ties of love be ours Which discord cannot sever And flourish green for freedom's home The Maple Leaf Forever"
Considering contraceptives were rare back then, you wanna bet Old Man Trump spent some bucks on abortions to keep his girls in the stable to make him rich?
Some things never change.😂
Telling eh
I always thought Canadians were being nice to repel Americans.
Wasn’t the name originally ‘Drumpf’?
Could you make a show on the estimated location of the York treasures, which were being transported from threatened York towards safer Kingston, and hurriedly buried to keep the American invaders from stealing it?
It was 1792 that John Merriam built first homestead in upper Canada, in search of responsible government. His son Johnson married Elizabeth Massey. My fifth gen grandparents.
Hows that working out for you silly Canucks
What this doesn't mention is that this same ancestor was exiled from Germany. That's right folks, kicked out of his own country.
Very Interesting!
Silly canucks Justin Castro TruDope is your existential threat
No bad at all; bravo ! You just forgot to say that Québec and Québécois are Canada and Canadiens for over four centuries, the sole founding people of Canada. This is important because it shows that the rest of the dominion not only steals the land but also then and the anthem. Also, since you talk about that : the "terrorist separatists" bombs, kidnaps and murders were in fact commited by the federal police undercover agents as false flag operations. Reliable sources are clear about that. 👍
Not "a marvel." Just another stupid government boondoggle. It achieved nothing in terms of "security against the US." What a foolish idea that is.
So Trump got his money off the backs of women
Well at least Trump's family can say how they got their money the Biden family and all the politicians in Washington they just sold out their country so a brothel or a traitor which one would you take
How many spies were there?
Where they Soviet spies in Canada?
Where are my previous posts?
I think you are working on becoming the Mark Felton of Canadian History. Keep going. We never, ever learned any of this in school in Canada. I wonder why. Oh, your animators are incredible. Props.
